Equitable Compensation

If you receive an equitable compensation check from the Treasurer’s office please note:

Pension benefits have been calculated on the salary portion (not commuter allowance) approved by the Commission on Equitable Compensation.  A check has been issued from the Treasurer’s office (on behalf of the pastor) payable to the General Board of Pension.  The check (with the stub) should be given to the Church Treasurer.  The amount of the check (issued from the Treasurer’s office) payable to the GBOP should be deducted from the Church’s pension statement received from the GBOP.  A Church check should be issued for the remaining balance.  Both checks should be mailed to the General Board of Pension.  The social security number on the stub should be the pastor’s.  If this information is incorrect or you have a different payroll address (other than what is in the journal), please call the conference office at 713-521-9383.
